Make sure your establishment can keep up with seasonal or event-based demands by purchasing additional waffle makers. That way, customers will quickly receive fresh waffles.
Lakeland offers this value model that’s simple to clean and no-mess design that helps prevent batter overflow. Indicator lights tell you when its ready, while cooking times can be tailored based on personal preferences.
1. Cuisinart Double Belgian Waffle Maker
If you love starting off your morning right with fluffy, well-browned Belgian waffles, this waffle maker may be just what you’ve been searching for. Our tests found it reliable at creating perfectly cooked golden-brown waffles from both scratch and mixes; its nonstick plates easily wipe clean; its flip design encourages even cooking and batter dispersion; plus its vertical storage makes this an excellent solution for those limited on counter space.
Our testers praised this machine’s versatility, with presets to tailor cooking times for different types of waffle (and an “add a bit more” button so your waffles are cooked exactly to your specifications). In addition, this model featured clear readiness indicators as well as a countdown timer that tracks its progress through cooking time.
However, this unit is large and requires more storage space than other models. Also, its spout for dispensing batter may become blocked easily so care must be taken when pouring.
2. Cuisinart Dash Belgian Waffle Maker
The Cuisinart Dash Belgian Waffle Maker can produce two full-size waffles at once and is slightly more costly than our top pick, yet offers various features which may come in handy if you regularly prepare large breakfast meals for multiple people.
This waffle maker comes equipped with indicators to let you know when it is preheating and when your waffle is finished. Plus, there’s a dial that lets you control how dark or light your waffle is. Plus, its easy cleanup makes for convenient storage; latching grids together enables compact space saving storage. Unfortunately, however, no beep alerts occur upon starting to cook or when your waffles are done – we wish there had been more settings as well!
One drawback of this machine is its use of nonstick coating marketed as “PFAS-free,” containing chemicals linked to hormonal disruption and inflammation of the gut. We would advise selecting instead a model with stainless steel or ceramic nonstick surfaces for maximum benefit.
3. Breville No-Mess Belgian Waffle Maker
This machine is ideal for creating thick, crispy American-style waffles in four batches at once. Featuring a moat that surrounds its cooking grids like a funnel to catch any overflow of batter, and coated in nonstick material which wipes clean easily with damp cloth, as well as options to create lighter or darker waffles, but unfortunately isn’t dishwasher-safe and its drip tray doesn’t catch all overflows so you’ll still need to wipe down your counter after each batch is made.
Cooking performance on this machine was impeccable and included unique features not available elsewhere: two dials to control different browning levels and an “Extra Cook” button for longer waffle cooking sessions. Unfortunately, batter can take time to spread evenly onto its second waffle grid and there’s no beep that alerts users that their waffles are ready, which may make hearing in a loud kitchen difficult. Furthermore, this model is more expensive than our other picks.
4. Cuisinart Round Flip Belgian Waffle Maker
For an easy waffle maker that takes up minimal counter space, look no further than the Cuisinart Round Flip Belgian Waffle Maker. Its nonstick plates wipe clean easily while its angled design allows pouring batter directly onto each grid without spillage or spillage. A deep moat around each plate also helps prevent batter overflow.
Our testing revealed this model to produce perfectly browned and tender waffles from both scratch and mix, plus its countdown timer was an added convenience for getting the right level of browning for each waffle.
Other models, like the Presto flippable waffle maker and Dash Mini Maker (our budget pick), had some nice features but fell short during our tests. For instance, while the Flippable waffle maker preheated quickly but took longer than average to cook its waffles, and its cooking plates are coated in aluminum rather than cast iron which distributes heat more effectively – though it would likely cost more money overall.
